The summer was really good this year — at least for camping. In the workshop it was far too hot, but it was a good time to relax and think about future projects.
One idea that is still kindling in my mind is a 7¼" Stroudley Terrier. For more than 20 years I’ve been thinking about this locomotive, and I’ve always felt it would make a very nice model in 7¼" gauge. A long time ago I even had the frames laser‑cut and the wheels water‑jet cut. But then the T3 came along, and that one was built first.
So while working in the workshop on the Y14 was out of the question in temperatures of over 30 degrees, drawing in SolidWorks was still possible. Here are some views of the concept drawing and a comparison with the Württembergische T3.
